The Livelihood Project for ST Beneficiaries at Boko, Kamrup District, Assam, was initiated in 2024 with support from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, targeting 100 Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries annually. The project aims to promote sustainable livelihoods, skill development, entrepreneurship, market linkages, and economic self-reliance among tribal communities through technical and institutional support.
Key Components:
Capacity Building: Training (both residential and non residential), exposure visits, financial literacy, marketing, and mentoring.
Apiculture: Training and support for modern beekeeping and apiary development.
Mushroom Production: Skill development, production support, and market linkage.
Vermicompost Production: Promotion of organic manure production as an income-generating activity.
Through these interventions, Dr. Ambedkar Mission works towards inclusive growth, economic empowerment, and improved livelihood opportunities for tribal communities.
